Our company bought One-year license for using Performia system and sent our HR manager to your Training of the world champions of Hiring Seminar. The cost of this was no little expense from the Company budget but  already today we can state that the investment brought a lot of positive things in a short time, which quite changed the performance of our HR department. Our company has now 20 employees. From the viewpoint of the employer it is not a lot of people, and for this reason staff hiring is covered by myself. I am also the Owner and an Executive Director. I run this operation and have been hiring people for 15 years now and the Performia system I have used for two years. The main difference between hiring people with the Performia system and without this system comes down to one very key thing. If some person is sitting in front of you and his speech is beautiful, and he is very pleasant, but actually you do not know anything about him. You know only his opinions or his concept how he would like to appear or should appear. We can say that he has a "social mask". Unfortunately we all have this mask when in a new environment. And so I don´t have any real certainty about his work performance, discipline and creativity. Individual Performia tests look behind the "social mask" and so you can see how some person (due to my experiences with the exactness of 90%) will be if he drops this mask. This tests show you real personality of a person which you otherwise would only see after a month or maybe even two years.

If you have had the experience of having to fire most people within the first two years of working for the company, here is the definite reason – their real traits and potential which were covered behind the mask. The Performia system is not cheap, but on the hand, what is the cost of locating, hiring, training and firing people constantly? I discovered after my calculation of all expenses that it cost much more. And I don´t include all the accompanying pain created to all concerned.

The comparison is when I managed and organized my company without the knowledge of Hubbard Admin Tech and Performia system, I was able to see only in two dimensions – in the plane. With the knowledge of Hubbard Admin Tech and Performia system I can see in three dimensions, in the space. And this is a diametrical different viewpoint on everything what is happening around me.

Four positive effects of cooperation with Performia. One year ago I thought about hiring 4 people for 4 new positions and in that time I received in my hands an invitation card for a Seminar by the Swedish founder of Performia, Marten Runow. I was persuaded that the methods of Performia could help me in hiring the right employees and that Performia could be the right partner in the personnel sphere. I bought a one year License for using the tests and thoroughly put the tests into practice immediately after first selection of candidates after reading their CVs. Earlier the tests were done only by those candidates who had already passed final selection. During that year there were 83 candidates and I staff 2 positions. How is my experience of the one year cooperation?


The first benefit is important saving of time – I estimate that I save 2,5 weeks, that I would otherwise dedicate to preparation and interviews with those candidates who were not really serious and only wanted to just try it, those candidates who would not dedicate the effort and time to fill in the tests. There were 40% (!) of those people who send us passable CV. Without the Performia tests I would have invited those candidates for interview and I would very probably waste time with them.


The second effect was the saving of time, effort and money we would otherwise have dedicated to the care of those hired employees who’s test results determined them to be quite alarming. There were about 5% of these people. These candidates were, on the basis of the test results, eliminated from the selection process. The game was not only about savings but also about risks. It is obvious that other adverse effects to the company of hiring them without the tests, especially the effects on personal relationships; the whole production and eventually even the financial stability would have been at risk.


The third effect is establishing a solid basis for a long term work relationship with the employee.


The fourth effect of the partnership was the individual care of my consultant, Mrs. Lenka Komorousova, the consultant of the Performia company who advised me many times in time critical cases and who guided me and helped me in my effort to be better orientated in the HR sphere.


That is why I value the one-year partnership with the Performia company as a benefit and recommend it also to another managers.

Our company had to hire many new colleagues for our planned expansion into different regions of our country. "Personnel 1" was the first project of personnel hiring in our company using the Performia system. Included in this project, were various vacancies: "assistant director", "chief accountant", "finance manager", "director of the stock house", "advertisement manager", "and secretary". Ads were published in newspapers and on the sites of some staff agencies. These Ads were created according to Performia’s recommendations – they contained challenge, were up-tone, attractive. These announcements were published on our site. They were written with a bit of humor with the aim of finding up-tone people. We tried to include in them both challenge and barriers. The process itself was full of barriers, beginning with the fact that communication was only via the Internet and finished with an uncertainty regarding the decision. As a result we got a flow of resumes, about 400. We put rather tough conditions – to choose only 100% productive people, only up tone people with high motivation. Finally about 10 people were admitted to the interview, and we hired only 4 people. Three of these have finished their probation periods, they work in our company more than a month and we can say that we were not wrong. These people are of different ages, of different life experience, but they quickly understood their work, the tasks that stood before them and they solve them successfully.


So, for example, a young engineer was directed to create the training concerning application of the materials we sell. At this training were all our sales managers, at the end of it there was an attestation. According to the results of this training, this new engineer was one of the best, even though he had only 1 week to study the material. The other man has become the Director of the department. Today we forget that there can be any problems there. With such principles of choosing we get the personnel with whom Directors (and not only them) can work easily and with pleasure. Questions concerning discipline, the necessity of little control, and of motivation to do the work, have all disappeared. Performers are good by the fact that "when you put a Performer on a post you forget that this post exists, as you never again hear of any problems with it.". Besides, with the presence of up tone people, the whole atmosphere in the team becomes more comfortable, there is more energy of life, and communication gives more joy. You can’t get pleasure from work if you don’t get pleasure from communication. And if you don’t get pleasure from work then you need to change something. We understood it and we changed the system of personnel hiring – now we have Performia and with every candidate we are closer to euphoria!

P.S. After the writing of this story of success there passed some time. There finished the project "Personnel –2". There were hired 5 more people – and I think we haven’t been mistaken about the value of Performia this time either.

Value of cooperation. Our company entered a one year contract to use the Performia system in May this year, for internet testing of existing employees and potentional new employees. Included with the contract was a four-day seminar led by Mrs. Spacilova on which she taught us not only to use own tests and system but she gave us the chance to go deeper to the dilemma of filling the positions and to the thinking of people looking for needed jobs. The tests of the Performia system are not the only thing that will save us but the combination of the tests and the other knowledge give management and staff department a chance to choose the optimal and most productive employees.

For the present (half year of operation) the usage of tests and other knowledge from the seminar proved itself in a relatively good way even if it was not 100% right, from 3 new employees were two correctly chosen and one was after 2 months fired. I would like to explain the cooperation with Performia with whom we have cooperated for about one year. We were thinking quite a long time that we might cooperate but finally we decided to try it for one year and then we would see. It is almost unbelievable how we do not now need to meet anybody who by their Tests appear unsuitable. If anybody sends me the test by post I know whether if I need meet him or not. The questionnaires save a lot of time and according to my experience we are not hiring any employee who does not have a test evaluation which corresponds to his job position. I also made myself certain that it is not necessary for the candidate to be, for example, skilled in the specialization that a specific position required. If he knew at least anything (for example good work with computer) for the required position there is no problem to learn more. We have used the Performia Exec-U-Test for 6 previous franchise applicants this year, with huge success. Two applicants were given an absolute positive result to be successful franchisees (even though we weren’t necessarily sure about one of them!) and they have proved to be exactly that. The personality traits detailed in the test results are amazingly accurate! Out of the four other applicants we were given a "not entirely suitable" result. However, upon studying the personality traits we were able to address particular issues with the candidates and discuss further. Two years ago I completed the Performia training. At that time I was occupied with tele-communication business. We have since May 2007 used InterSpeedia in order to systematize our recruitment process. We recruit on a regular basis for different positions and projects, and our candidates have a very different viewpoint when they write their application. We therefore experienced earlier that applications seemed to be different regarding the content and form. In addition some of the applications came by mail, some by post, some delivered them personally and some just called. With assistance of InterSpeedia we finally have a system where we in a positive way can channel all the applications through the same route. The first Performia tests I decided to use was when we urgently needed to find someone for a store manager post. This post was for a long time accursed and I was not able to find an appropriate candidate even we did this work at the salesmen posts only we did not hire anybody to avoid burnt fingers. Until this time I have no sense about the Exec-U-Test. It was in 2003 when we were only a few in our company. We were a good playing team so we solved such questions by "classic" way as majority companies in this country – advertisement, a lot of CV reading, the best CV selection, interviews and finally hiring. My first impression of Exec-U-Test evaluation was that if I did not have this results I hired by my subjective view and it could by totally no adequate person. In other side Ms. Fabianova recommended me different applicant who seemed no interesting for me. The possibility to find a covered pearl within obscure applicants was the starter and I wanted to know more. It was at the time when these activities were done by Performia. I use the Performia license already 3 years (2 years as unlimited) and continuously I improve my ability to the test evaluation by excellent training. These seminars give me a lot also in human relationships and I think that hiring training through Performia could have to graduate each ED as obligation – only from this human point. I went through different phases by tests evaluation. At first it was totally rigid and uncompromising. Afterward I remitted on demand when it was not possible to find right persons. When compromises appeared as wrong way it was the time to look at questionnaires and tests results by rigid eye again. The compromises turned back to me mostly were in the Positive characteristic and I believe that the direction "To hire only people with positive access to the life" is not at all overall but it is very good strategy for a long time. Hiring became more and more complicated mainly because of the lack of ability in the Candidates And even if we found some apparently suitable candidates we detected in the interview very often that he/she is not the right applicant and "something" was not right. Continuously from 2001 we started to cooperate with Performia. In the beginning it was only testing appropriate applicants for Managerial posts. Sometimes we did not pay much attention to the Performia Test results and still put the Applicant on the post. In the time it appeared that the warnings were right and we then needlessly complicated the situation by finding a new person. Real experiences of person were important for us. Our group of companies has been using the Performia system since November 2005. We have hired more than 150 employees since then. We consider that due to the application of Performia tools, the process of recruitment and choice has become more effective, accurate and quick. When we conduct the performance check we get very exact comprehension of the productivity of this person; if he is oriented towards results and his motivation. The data that we receive during the interview is very precise, and the figures, which confirm his achievements, give a very clear idea of the person. Moreover, the performance check gives us a chance to evaluate not only his production, but also his motivation; what is the motivating force in his work.


We consider that the application of Performia is very valuable. It gives us a system of objective evaluation. Sometimes during an interview there is a feeling that a candidate will not fit, despite his appropriate answers and everything looking good. So some doubts appear about what is at the heart of this feeling of distrust, is it a human factor or something else? In such situations the graph helps a lot. Comparing our impression of the candidate with his traits, we can rely on the facts instead of emotions, intuition and our preconceived conclusions. Performance check, references either confirm a candidate’s achievements or not, and the graphs help to evaluate any future risks in his work. So we can choose the best between two good candidates. This is very important to us.


The Reference check is very effective. Several times references have saved our company from recruiting a problem person who would cost us both money and time; although according to the performance check and his graph the candidate was suited for this job. But his previous jobs revealed some problems. The effectiveness of application of all Performia tools can be assessed with the help of the figure equal to the disparity of overall income and all the expenses of Performia usage.


Before Performia we had 350 employees in staff, after Performia we hired 150 people (increase by 43%). During this period we observed our profit increase by 30%. We can’t evaluate the "quality" of the personnel: clear results of the using of Performia tools or jointly with market changes, because most of the newly hired staff are working less than 6 months, and we can’t evaluate their contribution to the company. We hope that they will confirm their previous achievements in the next season.


Currently, the effectiveness of the Human Resources department is at least 200-250% according to the prime cost’s change, without considering the effect from the increase of the "Performers" in the company. During the period from the 1st of February till the 1st of September staff turnover was 10% due to the replacement of the unproductive staff. In the beginning of 2005 the need to change the internal structure came about as a result of a large increase in the number of Employees.


During May, after dealing with several representatives of Personnel Agencies we, together with the owner of the Company evaluate as the most suitable offer the one from Performia company and after persuasive dealing of the representatives of this Company we entered into a Licensed Contract.
